Condensation Myth!
You might have heard the old chestnut about condensation in containers. Well the truth is containers were designed to go to sea so they are inherently sealed and waterproof. However, all our self store units have ten specially designed waterproof air vents to optimise airflow within the container. So, if you don’t put any moisture into your unit, none is going to find its way in there. As long as you make sure everything is dry when it goes in by, for example thoroughly draining your washing machine, everything will stay dry whilst it’s in there. If you want to make double sure, we can supply you with a purpose-made condensation remover that can absorb up to 2 litres of water.
All of our containers are either brand new or only a couple of years old – we do not accept any containers that are damaged or that do not meet our high levels of storage standards. In addition to our containers, we also offer benefits including: monitored access via electronic key fob or coded gates, large opening access doors, heavy duty floor loading, heavy duty padlocks and easy access for vehicles, with all external units being at ground floor level. In addition to this we also offer the hire of a fork lift or pallet truck and driver.

We take security very seriously, with the systems we have in place forming the foundation of our business. With 24 hour CCTV recording on every single container, palisade fencing with tamper-proof lock gates, security lighting and proximity alarm systems, we are confident in the guaranteed security and safety of our facilities.
Regarding damage to property stored within our containers – we cannot guarantee that outdoor containers will not produce condensation and damp over long periods of time. We encourage everyone to ensure their items are properly protected, either via insurance, you arrange privately, or via us using our StoreProtect arrangements prior to them being stored, and to take all precautions to properly pack and protect items that may be more vulnerable to damage. We always offer advice and support to ensure this does not happen.
